► Introduction:
In times of constantly rising energy prices, alternative energy resources are becoming more and more important.
The ongoing pollution of the environment by the use of fossil burning and the exhaust of CO
2 in the atmosphere enforce this development.
There exists a widespread notion, that in countries of middle and Eastern Europe the use of solar power is possible only non-permanent, because of the small sunshine periods.
Thus a combination of sun power use with solar plants and systems for producing heating with wood, like pellets heating is volunteers
Four European partners from Sweden, the Czech Republic, Slovakia and Germany started the project Promotion of the
"
Intelligent Combination of Sun and Wood for producing warm water and heating for private houses" (ICOSAW)
with the aim to build a network, that affords the intelligent interface of sun and wood towards whole Europe.
In order to reach this aim, the project partners will develop a training concept for craftsmen, architects and
planners that empowers them to plan, install and maintain the ICOSAW-systems
